Adventures of Qikslvr

It’s not bad enough that after 2 weeks on the road I come home to have to put my dog down, but I had to help my sister in-law move yesterday and today. So much for resting up after the ride.

A couple days ago while I was on the road, my wife called me and told me our cocker spaniel Shelby was having issues. She was already blind in one eye and completely deaf and her good eye started clouding and causing her pain. She went to the eye doctor and they gave her some medicine but the lens was slipping and the pressure in her eye had pretty much destroyed the eye so she was in pain and completely blind. We took her to her regular vet yesterday and her health was so bad due to her age (blind, deaf, in pain, lethargic, constant nasal drainage, etc). We made the decision to put her out of her misery. She was 13 years old and the picture is from when she was a puppy.

We love and miss you Shelby.

Stopped for gas and lunch in Wright, WY. We are making good time today. Only 150 miles to go and it’s only 1pm. We should get into Sturgis by 4:30-5:00 due to losing an hour between here and there.

I added a photos page but Im not sure if Ill keep it like this since it stores the pics in the cloud and I dont like that. I would prefer to have them stored in my SQL database and called up when necesary

We stopped for a little bit to let Larry rest his foot. I got fired from the lead because I missed a turn. Those guys turned behind me and I had to turn around an catch up.

We stopped for lunch at Wataburger in Hillsboro. We were going to go across the freeway and see what’s there, but Larry caught his foot in a hole when we were pulling out so we figured this was a good place to eat. He’s ok, we just needed to give him a break.

Still waiting for lunch at our place. Hey are usually pretty fast but today is an exception apparently.
