In response to the massive recall by Toyota for sticking accelerator pedals, Ray LaHood, the secretary of transportation, said “stop driving it. Take it to a dealer because they understand he problem and believe they have a fix for it.” WTF does he expect everyone to have their cars towed to the dealer? As secretary of transportation he should know better than to tell people to do two MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE activies. Normally I wouldn’t bother mentioning it because I know most of us understand he meant drive it directly to the dealer, but I promise you some people will have their cars towed to the dealer, even though they have had no indication there is a problem with their car, just because of what he said. You would think the secretary of transportation would be smart enough not to make such an error… Maybe not… Should we be concerned?
