Well the bikes are loaded and strapped down. The truck is ready and so are we. On the way out to Anson I met a couple riding Harlies when I stopped for gas. They were awesome and I saw them again about an hour and a half later at Kent’s Harley Davidson in Abilene. I was getting an inspection and they came in to have some lights fixed that went out during their ride to DFW and back. I hope we meet more great bikers during this trip. Stay tuned because if we do you’ll hear about it here.
Well its time to get on the road to meet my other traveling companions in Anson. I’m leaving about 20 minutes later than I expected but that’s just par for the course.

This is what my calendar looks like for the next 2 weeks beginning Sunday at 3 am X(. I think it summarizes each day of the BIG ride very well.
One more week. This weekend I got a new tire put on the back (to replace the brand new one that got damaged) and got the oil changed and fluids checked. I also added a fuse block and grounding bus to the bike for accessories like lights. And I added an outlet inside the locked storage compartment on the right side of the fairing. Now I can plug in my phone while I’m riding and have the iPod and driving directions transmit to the radio and play over the bikes speakers (no more headphones required).
I am still trying to figure out the best method of working the GPS tracker on the website, but due to Apples restrictions, GPS devices rarely will work in the background so it’s a hassle. Hopefully I’ll get it figured out soon.
