3:30 am and we are on our way. There is not much to see out here in west Texas in the dark. Of course there’s not much to see in the daylight either.

Saturday, July 31st, 2010Well the bikes are loaded and strapped down. The truck is ready and so are we. On the way out to Anson I met a couple riding Harlies when I stopped for gas. They were awesome and I saw them again about an hour and a half later at Kent’s Harley Davidson in Abilene. I was getting an inspection and they came in to have some lights fixed that went out during their ride to DFW and back. I hope we meet more great bikers during this trip. Stay tuned because if we do you’ll hear about it here.
Its Time.
Saturday, July 31st, 2010Well its time to get on the road to meet my other traveling companions in Anson. I’m leaving about 20 minutes later than I expected but that’s just par for the course.

This is why I hate franchise restraunts
Saturday, May 22nd, 2010We went to Applebee’s for dinner Friday night. This is my dinner BEFORE I ate anything. An the steak was over cooked and salty as hell. The problem with franchise retraunts is that they have to meet certain menu requirements. Probably receiving their food only from the main office’s distribution center. So they have to deal with markup twice on the food they get before it’s even delivered. Then they are forced into a marketing scheme developed by someone else. So they end up in a situation where they have very little profit margin to play with. In order to make it up, they have to cut costs elsewhere. Like in the cook and wait staff and portions of sides. The result is poor quality and poor service.
VEGAS TIME
Monday, May 3rd, 2010Finally in Vegas. Time to get something to eat. I’ll worry about the pool and craps tables later. I’m starved. I’m having a Binion burger.
